The Winnipeg IEEE Young Professionals (formerly GOLD) consists of all IEEE members who have graduated from their first professional degree in the past ten years. IEEE Members are automatically enrolled in YP upon graduation. Our mission is to help students and recent graduates transition into professionals within the larger IEEE community.

IEEE YP is a vibrant community of engineers, scientists, and technical experts with member representation across the globe and throughout IEEE societies.

The Winnipeg IEEE YP is known for organizing industry tours, technical & professional development seminars and an annual networking event. Our vision is to become instrumental in the personal, professional & technical development of our members and in the development of the larger community.

If you are interested in getting involved with YP:

  • You are welcome to join us at our biweekly executive committee meetings. Please see the “Upcoming Events” section for the meeting schedule. If you are planning to attend a meeting, we ask that you RSVP by midnight on the day before the meeting to winnipeg.ieee.gold@gmail.com.
